Pinkeye

Welcome to December. Christmas is coming up, and I'm taking care of both of my parents because they have a severe case of viral Pinkeye.
You know you really underestimate how bad pinkeye is, and I have no idea why, but it's really bad!
My mom has had it for two weeks now and it still hasn't gone away. It even spread a little bit to part of her face. I keep telling her to go to a doctor but she hasn't yet.
I'm concerned about her vision. Please, PLEASE make sure to take care of yourself and wash your hands throughout the day. Trust me, you do NOT want pinkeye.
It lasts for around three weeks straight, and it is pure hell.
They say it hurts like hell, it burns, nothing at all helps. The special eye drops for irritation they have don't help at all. I feel so bad for them.
You kind of just scoff at pinkeye because its usually just something little kids get, and you don't really remember how bad it was when you grow up.
But then, adults get it occasionally too. It's an eye infection. That's what it is. It's an actual infection in your head, in your eye, and it's serious.
In severe cases it can turn into meningitus, and you do not want viral meningitis. You could die.
Being an infection, Pinkeye comes with all the shit other infections come with, along with the SEARING throbbing pain in your eye socket.
That means you get very very sick. You get a fever and everything. I remember getting a stye when I was in highschool while I was working on performing a play in the set crew,
and I got so sick I ended up falling asleep back stage and looked so awful my fellow crew members just let me sleep through the entirety of act 2. Godspeed.
But yeah, eye infections, especially pinkeye, ARE infections and need to be taken seriously. Please take care of yourselves to prevent yourself from getting it, it's no joke.
